I grew up as your average nerdy sports enthusiast, finding my passion in football, basketball and baseball from a young age, partly because of my very competitive brother and my DAD(University of Washington 3rd baseman and Lincoln High School). Through high school and college I had the privilege of sharing the field with some of the greatest athletes of our time. From the powerhouse presence of Ray Penny to the dominating genius of Donn Lange, and the sheer determination of Terry Dorcas, I’ve been fortunate to call these legends my teammates. Mark Englert’s tenacity, Dave MacIsaac’s power, and Mike O’brien’s laughter and hands all left an indelible mark on my journey. And who could forget the unparalleled skill of Mark Wagner, Marc Wilson, Jeff Woods, Mike Strand, Bim Prince, Steve Brockway, Dwight Otto, Bobby Johnstone, Nic Valenzuela, Bob Oliver(the best backup Quarterback ever, so supportive) and Mike Carey…wow! Each one a titan in their own right, together forming an unbeatable force on the field and off.
Then I moved to San Fransisco where everyone was an artist or wants to be an artist. I’m a “wanna be” and still trying…
I rubbed shoulders with the likes of Dana Carvey, whose comedic timing was as impeccable as his softball throws. Jay Leno’s wit never failed to leave us in stitches, while Bob Ayers and Michael Prichard brought their own unique flair to the comedy scene and arts…
